The 12
th-ranked Misericordia University women's soccer team clinched the top seed in the MAC Freedom tournament with a 4-1 win over FDU-Florham, Saturday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Kristen Ritter and Kate Yurenda improved their all-time record at Mangelsdorf Field to 34-3-3.

MU broke open a scoreless game with three goals in a 12-minute span late in the first half.

After the FDU-Florham keeper punched a shot away and came off her line to gather the rebound,
Kate Field slotted the ball toward the right post where Edgell touched the back to the middle and Orfanos tapped it into the open net at 28:18.

Pearage rolled a pass through the box and Larkin placed into the right side of the goal for a 2-0 lead at 38:59.

Sturans made it 3-0 when she gained possession near the top of the box, faked a shot, dribbled around a defender and a fired a shot inside the right post at 40:37.

The Devils scored their lone goal at 58:53 and Larkin got in back in the 81
st minute off a feed from Pearage near the top of the box where she beat the keeper to the left side to make it 4-1.

MU out-shot the Devils, 26-6, including 17-3 on goal.

The Cougars are 12-2-1 and will wrap up the regular season at Manhattanville, Saturday.
