The Misericordia University men's soccer team dropped a tough 2-0 decision to King's, Saturday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
Neither team managed a shot until MU's Dylan Molaneaux's shot from 30 yards out was deflected away in the box at 8:58.
John Caracappa's header from 10 yards out was wide left just over a minute later.
King's managed two headers from the spot in a little over a minute, with Pizzi making a big save near the left post on the second attempt in the 18
th minute.
The Monarchs got on the board at 20:30 and added an insurance goal at 34:26.
The Cougars best chance of the half came when
Tristan Wright whipped a shot from eight yards out, but King's keeper Owen Geedey came up with a big stop.
MU's best chance of the second half came in the 54
th minute when
Ethan Aigeldinger's shot from the top of the box was deflected and forced Geedey to make a diving save near the right post.
Misericordia will host Eastern, Tuesday at 7:00.
