Cougars Second After Day 1 at Drew

The Misericordia University swim team is in second place after two sessions of the Ranger Invitational at Drew.
The Cougars have 87 points through 18 events and trail just host Drew.
Sierra Schertler (25.33) finished second in the 50 free while teammates Rileigh Ellis and Kate Bernauer were third and fourth, respectively, while 
Hailey Gianoni was eighth.
Grace Nikolski (2:00.73) was fourth to lead four straight Cougars in the 200 free style: Gianoni, Clare Winton and Rileigh Ellis.
Nikolski (2;16.14) was fifth at 200 meters while Kaitlyn Weatherby was sixth.
Clare Winton (19:21.43) finished fifth in the 1650 free while Veronica Venit, Juliana Fanelli and Megan Chlebove were ninth-11th, respectively.
Weatherby (1:00.89) was sixth in the 100 fly and Kate Bernauer and Carlson were seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 200 medley relay.
Andrea Carlson, Grace Nikolski, Weatherby and Schertler finished second in the 200 Medley Relay while Carlson, Nikolski, Bernauer and Ellis were second in the 400 medley relay.
Bernauer, Weatherby, Ellis and Schertler finished third in the 200 free relay.
