The Misericordia university men's basketball team concluded the regular season with an 83-71 win over Manhattanville University, Saturday afternoon at the Anderson Center.

Tre Fields and
Jake Szczecina before their last home game of their careers.

In his first start of the season, Szczecina scored 18 points and had five rebounds while Fields added 17 points and 4 assists.

Szczecina's quick start from deep gave the Cougars an early 10-8 lead which the Cougars never surrendered.

With 6:59 left in the half,
Jason Kenny moved to fourth on the all-time scoring list after sinking a free throw. Kenny finished the game with 14 points and 1488 career points.

Szczecina hit his fourth three-pointer of the first half to push the Cougar lead to 42-27 at halftime.

Fields' fast-break dunk seven minutes into the second half gave the Cougars their largest lead of the game, 57-35.

Manhattanville went on a 17-2 run midway through the second half to cut the Cougar lead to seven, but the Cougars responded with five unanswered points.

A 14-3 run down the stretch for the Cougars was capped off with Szczecina's sixth three-pointer of the day.

The Cougars finished 15-10 overall and in a three-way tie with Eastern and DeSales for second place in the MAC Freedom at 10-4. The Cougars will visit top-seeded Wilkes in Wednesday's semifinal.
