The Misericordia University women's volleyball team split a pair matches at a tri-match at Marywood, Thursday.
The Cougars lost to Marywood, 3-1, and swept Penn College, 3-0.
Tara Welliver had 11 kills and three blocks against Marywood and
Jessica Oltman and
Sarah Pool added six kills each.
Amanda Curcio had five blocks and Oltman added three.
Karley May had 24 assists, five aces and nine digs while
Jassmine Watson and
Kaitlin Wheeler both had nine digs.
Against Penn, Welliver had 12 kills and four aces.
Alexa Monro had 13 aces and May had 29 assists.
After dropping the first two sets to Marywood, 25-21, 25-20, the Cougars took the third set, 25-10, before the Pacers took the finale, 25-14.
The Cougars beat Penn 25-7, 25-18, 25-16.
The Cougars are 11-7.
