The Misericordia University women's tennis team opened the season with a 7-2 loss at Cortland, Wednesday.

Cassidy Breen earned her first collegiate victory with a 6-4, 6-2 win at fifth singles.

Erika Slowicki and Kayla Rembish teamed for an 8-2 win at second doubles.

The Cougars will compete at the King's Invitational, Saturday and Sunday.
