The Misericordia University field hockey team defeated MAC Freedom conference opponent Stevens, 2-1, in double overtime, Saturday.
 Madisyn Granoski and Mikayla Cavenas both scored for the Cougars while Kyleigh Knell and Anna Effinger each added an assist.
 The Cougars capitalized on their opportunities and secured the win midway through the second overtime.
 Katelyn Campbell made 14 saves in goal as the Cougars improved to 7-7 overall and 2-1 in the MAC Freedom.
 Stevens took a 1-0 lead on a penalty stroke late in the first period, but the Cougars pulled even early in the second period when Granoski finished a pass from Knell on the edge of the circle.
 The score stood for more than 60 minutes until Cavenas tallied the game-winner 4:22 into the second OT.
 Misericordia will host Immaculata, Monday at 7 p.m. ​
