The Misericordia University women's soccer team celebrated Senior Appreciation Day by defeating Delaware Valley, 3-0, Friday night.
Emma Przyhocki, Kaylee Sturans and Devyn Anderson scored for the Cougars while Jeanna Orfanos and Sturans each added an assist.
Following a rebound off a free kick, Orfanos got control of the ball and quickly sent a pass to Przyhocki, who rifled a shot just under the crossbar in the 29th minute.
Sturans found the back of the net after splitting two defenders at midfield and firing a shot inside the left post just over a minute into the second half to make it 2-0.
Coming off a corner kick from Sturans, Anderson took a chip shot from 20 yards out that sailed right over the keeper into the back of the net to put MU up 3-0 in the 56th minute.
The Cougars fired 34 shots on the night while holding the Aggies without an attempt.
Jordyn Martini nearly put the Cougars on the board in the eighth minute of play, but her blast from 10 yards sailed just over the crossbar.
Anderson almost tacked one on earlier in the game in the 19th minute but her header off a corner kick was just high.
Lynsey Shultz's shot in the 55th minute was just off its mark as it wound up wide of the goal.
MU moves to 7-4-2 overall and 3-1 in MAC Freedom play. Misericordia will travel to face off against MAC Freedom opponent Eastern, Wednesday at 3 p.m.
