The Misericordia University men's basketball team opened the season with a 112-38 exhibition loss at Division I Seton Hall, Tuesday night. The Pirates are currently ranked 12
th in the nation according to the AP poll.

Jake Bartholomew and
Mike Lyons led the Cougars with six points each.

Noah Rivera led MU with six rebounds while
Hunter George and
Darius Jackson grabbed three boards a piece.

The Cougars kept pace with the Pirates in the first couple minutes of action.
Patrick Douthit began the scoring for MU and hit his first two jumps shots which got the Cougars to within one early on.

After a three pointer from Seton Hall guard Myles Powell,
Tony Harding hit a three of his own to get back to within one, 8-7.

The Pirates finished the first half on a 48-11 run to go up 56-18.

The Cougars began the second half on a 6-2 run with three pointers from Bartholomew and Lyons.

Seton Hall controlled for the remainder of the matchup.

MU will begin the regular season at home against TCNJ on Tuesday, November 9 at 7:00.
