The Misericordia football team dropped a conference matchup Lycoming College, 51-14, Saturday.

The Cougars trailed 27-14 at the end of the first half, but failed to put any points on the board in the second half.

Brady Williams threw for 161 yards (14-25) with an interception and added 26 yards rushing and a score.

Michael Gawlik rushed for 48 yards on eight attempts and added a touchdown.

Sam Gillison had five receptions for 71 yards and
Isaiah Williams caught four passes for 54 yards.

Alex Hafner led the defense with 10 tackles and
Nick Yeager and
Damian Diaz followed with eight each.

After the Warriors scored on their second play of scrimmage, the Cougars responded with a 14-play, 72-yard drive that resulted in B. Williams rushing for a six-yard score with 6:16 left to go in the first quarter.

MU only had one play of over 10 yards on the drive, a 17-yard completion from B. Williams to I. Williams at the Warriors' 47-yard line.

On the first drive of the second quarter, B. Williams took advantage of a free play when the Warriors jumped offside and he found Gillison for a 38-yard pass that set up the Cougars on the one-yard line. Gawlik scored on the ensuing play with a one-yard run with 14:14 left in the second quarter.

MU had an opportunity to score at the end of the first half, but with no timeouts and a completion to the middle of the field at the Warriors' 11-yard line, the clock expired before MU's next snap.

The Cougars were held scoreless in the second as they fell to 4-3 overall and 4-2 in the MAC.
