The Misericordia University men's soccer season came to a heartbreaking end with a 1-0 overtime loss at Eastern in the MAC Freedom semifinals, Wednesday afternoon.

The Eagles scored the only goal of the game with less than two minutes remaining in overtime.

Cody Rogers nearly got the Cougars on the board early in the second half, but Eastern keeper Anthony Hitchcock made a diving save.

Braiden Christie's shot in the 80^th minute was just wide left of the net.

Levi Roberts and Connor McCarthy cleared an Eastern shot from in front of the goal in the 59^th minute.

Both teams had just two shots on goal.

The Cougars finished 7-8-4.
