The Misericordia University women's basketball team improved to 8-0 with an 87-60 victory at Marywood University, Saturday afternoon.

Tessa Zamolyi posted her eighth double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead five Cougars in double figures. Zamolyi added six assists.

Gianna Delfino scored 13 points and had six rebounds and
Madison Borum and
Alyssa Bondi had 12 and 11 points, respectively, and
Erica Haefele scored 10 points.

Nora Tracey started the scoring for the Cougars with a jumper and Zamolyi hit a three on the next possession to take a 5-3 lead.

With 3:31 left in the first quarter, Haefele, the Cougars' top three-point scorer, hit a shot from beyond-the-arc to give Misericordia a 23-9 lead.

The Cougars led by 20 points at halftime and went on 17-7 run to end the third quarter to stretch their lead to 69-44.

The run was capped when
Elizabeth Fasti hit a jumper in the paint with :19 left in the third.

MU maintained their strong lead throughout the fourth quarter and surpassed 80 points for the fourth time this season.
