The Misericordia University men's volleyball team beat Wilkes for the second time in a week to finish off a season sweep of the Colonels, Wednesday night at the Marts Center.
The Cougars won 25-19, 25-20, 25-21, 25-17 to improve to 15-12 overall and 5-5 in the MAC.
MU is in fourth in the MAC with a two-game lead over Wilkes.
Ryan Miller had 18 kills, three aces and nine digs while
Jason Campbell had eight kills and
Matt Lavin added six.
Brian Ross had three aces and two blocks and
Billy Murphy added four blocks.
Dylan Sellitti had 38 assists.
Caleb Bauder started a 4-0 run to break a 6-6 tie in the first set. Ross had an ace and Lavin added two kills to put the Cougars ahead for good, 10-6.
MU scored four of the last five points, including a kill and an ace by Miller, to close out the first set.
In the second set, the Cougars took advantage of four Scranton errors to score six straight oints and tk=a 20-16 lead om the second set.
Miller added two kills as the Cougars ended the set on a 4-2 run.
Wilkes used a 6-0 run to take control of the third set.
MU will host Alvernia and John Jay, Saturday.
