Miranda Bohn tossed a one-hit shutout to lead the Misericordia University softball team to a split at Lebanon Valley, Sunday.

The Cougars dropped the opener, 5-0, but rallied to take the nightcap, 13-0, in five innings.

Bohn,
Amanda Butera and
Kiersten Pflueger all two hits in the first game.

Pflueger had four hits and four RBI in game two while
Maddie Holub had two hits and four RBI.

Butera,
Jessica Oltman and
Danielle Heulitt all had two hits.

Bohn struck out four in five innings to earn the win.

The Cougars threatened in the top of the first in game one as
Ciara DeLong and Butera both singled. After a fielder's choice, a wild pitcher put runners on second and third with one out, but the threat ended with two ground outs.

Leb Val went ahead with two runs in the bottom of the first and added three insurance runs in the fifth.

In the nightcap, the Cougars scored three in the first and never looked back.

DeLong led off with a single again and went to third on Butera's double to left.

Holub drove in a run with a single and stole second and Pflueger followed with a two-run double to make it 3-0.

Pflueger doubled with one out in the third and scored on Oltman's single to right to give MU a 4-0 lead.

Holub's two-run single was the first of five consecutive two-out hits as part of a seven-run rally in the top of the fourth.

Holub and Pflueger drove in runs in the fifth to close out the scoring for the Cougars.
Â
MU, 12-6, will host Arcadia in their home opener, Thursday.
