Brooke Moyle threw a no-hitter in the opener to lead the Misericordia University softball team to a split with Arcadia, Thursday at Anderson Field.
Moyle struck out seven and allowed just two walks as the Cougars won 8-0 in six innings.
Arcadia took game two, 10-0, in five innings.
Miranda Bohn and Jess Oltman both had two hits and drove in two runs and
Ciara DeLong added two hits in game one.
Maddie Holub had a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth and
Brianna Holder added a solo homer.
Kiersten Pflueger had two hits for the Cougars in the nightcap.
The Cougars used a two-out rally to take a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning of game one. With one out,
Amanda Butera was hit by a pitch and Holub followed with a walk.
Bohn's two-out double to center field drove in two runs and she came home on Oltman's single up the middle.
Moyle helped her own cause when she led off the bottom of the second with a double to left field. One out later, DeLong singled through the middle to give MU a 4-0 lead.
Pflueger tripled to lead off the third inning and came in on Oltman's sacrifice fly. Holder followed with a solo homer to left to make it 6-0.
Jess McDonough reached on an infield single with one out in the sixth and moved to second on DeLong's single up the middle.
With two outs, Holub tripled to center to drive in two runs and end the game.
Misericordia is 13-7 and will host Eastern, Saturday.
