The Misericordia University women's tennis team defeated Clarks Summit, 8-1, in their home opener, Wednesday.

Allison Mattucci, Hannah Bonk and Allie Woodward all won twice for the Cougars.

Mattucci won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles and teamed with Woodward for an 8-1 win at first doubles.

Woodward won 6-0, 6-0 at number four singles.

Bonk was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at second singles and joined Erika Slowicki to win 8-2 at second doubles.

Kayla Rembish won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles and Nicole Joers won 6-0, 6-0 at number five.

Hannah Gildea and Nicole Pangiochi won 8-0 at third doubles.
