Amanda Butera (Collegeville, PA/St. John Paul II) has been named the Misericordia University Wendy's Female Athlete of the Month for March while
Ian McCole (Frackville, PA/Shenandoah Valley) and
Pat Luzzi (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) shared the men's honor.

Butera, a sophomore shortstop, led the softball team to a 17-7 record during the month, including a 6-0 mark in the MAC Freedom.

She hit .442 with five doubles, four triples and 15 RBI.
Â
She scored 22 runs and stole 10 bases.
Â
Butera hit safely in 23 of 24 games played and ended the month on a 20-game hitting streak.
Â
McCole, a sophomore pitcher, was 5-0 with a 1.15 earned run average in five starts. He allowed fewer than two earned runs in all five appearances.

He struck out 23 while walking just five in 31.1 innings.

Luzzi, a sophomore attack, led the Cougars with 34 points on 25 goals and 11 assists in seven game.

He scored multiple points in every game, including five games of at least three goals.
