The Misericordia University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime draw at William Smith College, the top-ranked team in the nation.
The Cougars had two solid scoring opportunities in regulation and two more int he first OT period.

Alexis Benedetto denied a shot from the top of the box in the 19
th minute, the Cougars had two solid opportunities.
In the 34
th minute,
Lauren Anderson's shot from inside the box sailed just over the crossbar.
Devyn Anderson nearly put the Cougars ahead in the 50
th minute, but was denied by a diving Amanda Kesler.
William Smith's best chance of the second half came on a header off a corner kick in the 65
th minute, but Benedetto was in position to make the stop.
Kate Field had MU's first chance in OT, but her shot in the 93
rd minute was just wide left.
Devyn Anderson missed in the same spot just four minutes later.
Benedetto made six saves in net to earn the shutout.
Misericordia, 3-2-1, will visit Moravian, Saturday.Â
