Box Score The Misericordia University women's volleyball team dropped a heartbreaking 3-2 decision at Eastern, Tuesday night.

After Eastern took the opening set, 25-17, the Cougars rallied to take the next two, 25-18, 25-19.

The Eagles won the fourth set, 27-25, and took the finale, 16-14.

Tara Welliver led the Cougars with 14 kills and Faith Merritt and Fiona Pyfer added 11 kills each.

Welliver added five blocks and two aces and Pyfer had 10 digs, three aces and three blocks.

Jessica Oltman had eight kills and four blocks and Amanda Curcio had seven kills and three blocks.

Karley May had 46 assists and Alexa Monro had 14 digs.

The Cougars are 12-8 overall and 1-1 the MAC Freedom.
