For the second time in 10 days, the Misericordia University women's soccer team faced the number-one team in the nation as the Cougars fell to top-ranked Messiah, 3-1, Saturday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
Michaela Fasolino scored the lone goal for the Cougars.

Alexis Benedetto made 11 saves in goal.

The Falcons opened the scoring in the ninth minute and added an insurance goal in the 21
st minute.

After Messiah made it 3-0 at 58:23, Fasolino collected a loose ball near the top of the box and blasted a shot inside the right post from 15 yards out in the 72
nd minute.

Misericordia will host Stevens for their first MAC Freedom game of the year, Saturday at 7:30 p.m.​
