The Misericordia University men's basketball team used a big second half to beat Delaware Valley, 76-64, Thursday night in the Anderson Center.

Jake Bartholomew led the team with 15 points and two steals and Noah Rivera added a double-double with 12 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.

Nate Kreitzer totaled 14 points, five assists and three rebounds and Tony Harding tallied 14 points.

The Cougars took an early lead in the first half 11-5 after Darius Jackson laid one in off a fast break four minutes in.

Delaware Valley rallied to an eight-point lead into halftime, 36-28.

At the start of the first Bartholomew drained a three following a pass from Rivera to the right wing to cut the lead to six.

Down 43-31, the Cougars took control with a 32-6 run and shot 50% from beyond the arc to take a 63-49 lead with five minutes to go.

Joseph Baldachino started things off finding the basket on a fast break and was fouled driving to the lane and converted the three-point play.

Harding put the Cougars up by four after Rivera dished a pass to the right corner and he nailed a three with 11 minutes left to play.

With seven minutes left to play Harding hit a three from well behind the line to stretch the lead to 58-49. And just a minute later he hit a dagger from even deeper putting Misericordia up 14 points.

Kreitzer took the wind out of the sails for the Aggies after hitting two free throws and making a diving steal on the inbounds and adding a layup for a 73-55 lead.

Misericordia will travel to Stevens, Saturday at 3 p.m. for a MAC Freedom matchup.
