The Misericordia University women's basketball team remained unbeaten in the MAC Freedom with a 77-62 win at Stevens, Saturday.

Tessa Zamolyi had 20 points and 13 rebounds and Jordan Barth added 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Erica Haefele had 12 points, six assists and five steals and Gianna Delfino added 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals.

After finishing a high-scoring first quarter tied, 20-20, Zamolyi put the Cougars ahead for good with a jumper to open the second period.

Barth gave MU a 34-27 lead with 4:45 to play in the second period and neither team scored for the next three minutes and the Cougars took a 38-29 lead into halftime.

Misericordia extended its lead to 50-38 and used an 8-2 run over the final 4:20 of the third quarter to stretch the margin to 58-40.

Morgan Haefele scored five points early in the fourth quarter as MU took its biggest lead of the game, 70-47, with 6:23 to play.

The Cougars are 14-1 overall and 4-0 in the MAC Freedom and will host Eastern, Wednesday.
