The Misericordia University men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Penn State Altoona, Thursday.
Brian Ross led the Cougars with nine kills while
Matt Lavin added six kills.
Dylan Sellitti had 21 assists and 10 digs.
PSU used a 15-1 run to overcome an early 4-1 deficit on the way to a 25-13 win the first set.
Ross had back-to-back kills to get the Cougars within 16-15 in the second set, but Penn State closed on a 9-4 run to win 25-19.
Kills by Lavin and Ross and a set error by the Lions gave the Cougars an 8-3 lead in the finale. PSU used an 8-2 spurt to take the lead.
The Cougars are 4-3 and will host Elizabethtown and D'Youville in a tri-match, Saturday.
