The Misericordia University men's basketball team's second-half comeback came up short in a 73-59 loss to Stevens, Saturday afternoon at the Anderson Center.

Noah Rivera led the Cougars with 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

Nate Kreitzer added 10 points for the Cougars and
Joseph Baldachino scored eight points off the bench in the second half for the Cougars.

Trailing 58-35 midway through the second half, Baldachino hit a three-pointer to ignite a 14-2 run for the Cougars.

After a Stevens' bucket, Rivera scored seven points during a 9-0 spurt for MU to cut the deficit to 60-49 with 7:25 to play.

The Cougars shot 40% from the field in the second half, but were unable to get closer than 11 in the final minutes.

Misericordia will head to Wilkes, Wednesday.
