The Misericordia field hockey team rebounded from its first conference loss with a 1-0 win at DeSales, Wednesday night.

Madison Posivak scored the only goal of the game with an assist from
Mikayla Cavenas.

Posivak tapped in a pass from Cavenas with just over five minutes remaining in the first quarter. Posivak has scored five goals in the last five games, including a tally in three consecutive contests. Cavenas is now tied for the team lead with six assists.

Olivia Gretz made five saves for her eighth shutout, which is tied for fifth-most in a single-season in school history.

The Cougars improved to 10-5 overall and 4-1 in the MAC Freedom.
