The Misericordia University women's soccer team clinched a MAC Freedom postseason berth with a 2-0 win at FDU-Florham, Saturday.
 
Kaylee Sturans and Kate Field scored goals and Madison Brdaric added two assists as the seventh-ranked Cougars improved to 14-1 overall and 6-0 in the MAC Freedom.           
 
After being held scoreless in the first half, the Cougars wasted little time in getting on the board in the second half.
 
Brdaric and Michaela Fasolino combined for a pair of one-touch passes to find Sturans in front of the net for her team-leading 12^th goal less than six minutes into the second half.
 
The Cougars added an insurance goal in the 80^th minute when Brdaric served a ball into the box and Field finished into the left side of the net.
 
Alexis Benedetto made the score stand up with five saves for her league-leading seventh shutout. 
 
Misericordia held a 20-8 edge in shots while clinching its 12^th consecutive MAC Freedom Tournament berth.
 
The Cougars will host DeSales, Tuesday.
