The Misericordia University women's soccer team clinched a MAC Freedom postseason berth with a 2-0 win at FDU-Florham, Saturday.

Kaylee Sturans and
Kate Field scored goals and
Madison Brdaric added two assists as the seventh-ranked Cougars improved to 14-1 overall and 6-0 in the MAC Freedom.          Â

After being held scoreless in the first half, the Cougars wasted little time in getting on the board in the second half.

Brdaric and
Michaela Fasolino combined for a pair of one-touch passes to find Sturans in front of the net for her team-leading 12
th goal less than six minutes into the second half.

The Cougars added an insurance goal in the 80
th minute when Brdaric served a ball into the box and Field finished into the left side of the net.

Alexis Benedetto made the score stand up with five saves for her league-leading seventh shutout.Â

Misericordia held a 20-8 edge in shots while clinching its 12
th consecutive MAC Freedom Tournament berth.

The Cougars will host DeSales, Tuesday.
