Emma Sweitzer scored four goals as the Misericordia University women's soccer team defeated the Delaware Valley Aggies, 8-0, in their MAC Freedom opener, Saturday at Mangelsdorf Field.

Madison Brdaric and
Brooke Sargen all added goals and
Michaela Fasolino and
Kaylee Sturans combined for five assists as the Cougars improved to 9-1.

Stoner scored the first goal of the match after Sturans' shot caromed off the right post.Â

Sweitzer added three goals within a 10-minute span to put the Cougars up 4-0.Â
Brdaric scored her first career goal in the 25
th minute and Field made it 6-0 10 minutes later.Â
Sweitzer netted her fourth goal late in the first half and Sargen ended the scoring in the 79
th minute.

Alexis Benedetto and
Emma Stroud split time in goal combined for two saves. Stroud made a sliding stop late in the match to preserve the shutout.
