The Misericordia University field hockey team ended the regular season with a 5-2 non-conference loss at Ramapo, Saturday.

Madison Posivak scored for MU while
Morgan Walsh added an assist.

Ramapo took a 1-0 lead on a penalty stroke just 1:59 into the game and made it 2-0 on a corner late in the opening period.

The Cougars cut the lead in half when Bianco scored on a corner early in the second quarter.

The Roadrunners made it 3-1 early in the third period and finished another corner for a 4-1 lead four minutes before halftime.

Posivak recorded a point for the sixth straight game early in the fourth quarter, but Ramapo added a goal with four minutes to play.

The Cougars held a slight edge in corners, 16-14, while Ramapo had an 18-16 advantage in shots, including 15-13 on goal.

The Cougars will host FDU-Florham in the MAC Freedom semifinals, Wednesday.
