The Misericordia University men's soccer team defeated the Clarks Summit Defenders, 2-0, Tuesday afternoon at McGeehan Field.

Anthony Yarabinee scored both goals as the Cougars improved to 7-1.

Luke Ferrarese and Brandon Ebersole added assists for Misericordia.

Yarabinee scored the first goal of the match midway through the second on a header from a Ferrarese corner kick. 

Yarabinee scored again in the 76th minute with a left-footed strike off a pass from Ebersole. Brandon Ebersole passes. 

Yarabinee nearly gave the Cougars the lead in the first half, but his shot in the 38^th minute hit the right post.

Andrew Daubenspeck made one save and recorded his third consecutive shutout. 

Misericordia won the shots battle, 22-6, and took 12 corners while allowing zero. 
   
The Cougars will travel to Arcadia for conference play, Saturday at 5:30.
