Olivia Kempf scored a pair of goals in the second quarter as the Misericordia University field hockey team advanced to the ECAC Championships semifinals with a 3-0 win over Marywood, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
Meghan Radnoff added a goal and
Lily Metress had an assist for the Cougars.
The Misericordia defense didn't allow a shot or a corner in the first half and held the Pacers to three shots and three corners for the game.
Kempf gathered a loose ball in the circle and lifted a shot over a sliding Rachel Yohn for a 1-0 lead just 2:10 into the second quarter.
Metress centered a pass from the left end line and Kempf touched it past the goalie to make it 2-0 just five minutes later.
Radnoff's blast from the left side deflected off a defender and inside the left post for her first goal of the year and a 3-0 lead 1:20 into the fourth quarter.
Yohn had two saves for the Pacers who ended the season at 10-10.
Misericordia improves to 14-7 and will face FDU-Florham, Saturday at 2:00 at Ramapo in the ECAC semifinals.
