The Misericordia men's soccer team ended their season with a 2-1 loss to Penn St. Behrend in the opening round of the ECAC Championships, Saturday at Rutgers-Newark.
The Cougars finished at 12-5-1. Â

Francisco Echeverria got MU on the board in the 69
th minute with an assist from
Noah Astheimer.
Max Gariano nearly gave the Cougars an early lead, but his shot in the upper left corner was saved in the 10th minute.
PSU-Behrend took a 1-0 lead in the 19
th minute and it stood for nearly 50 minutes.
After the Cougars were denied on a PK attempt in the 74
th minute, PSU-Behrend went back in front in the 76
th minute.
Logan Moore's shot in the 78
th minute was saved and
Alexei King had two shots in the closing stages, but one attempt was wide and his shot in the 89
th minute was saved.
Andrew Daubenspeck finished the night with five saves for the Cougars.
Misericordia had nine shots on goal and won the overall shots battle 17-15. The Cougars had five corners. Â
