The Misericordia University men's basketball team opened the season with a 110-48 exhibition-game loss at Seton Hall, Thursday.
Kevin Lazdowsky led the Cougars with 10 points and five rebounds while
Rodrigo Vani added eight points.
Vani and
Daron Pierre made back-to-back baskets to give MU a 4-3 lead in the opening minute.
Lazdowsky's jumper and layup form Joe Baldachino tied the score, 8-8.
After a Pirates three-pointer, Pierre and
Nick Hornung both made threes to put MU ahead, 14-11.
SHU tied it on a three-pointer and
Derek Smith gave the Cougars their final lead of the night, 16-14, with 12:30 left in the first half.
