The Misericordia University men's swim team finished second at the Cougar Splash Invitational, Saturday at Dallas Middle School.

The Cougars compiled 594 points to finish just behind Brockport (622) in the six-team field.

Jonus Gurski won the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, including a pool record of 58.7 in the 100. Regin Olson-Gray was fifth in the 200 and sixth in the 100.

Logan Kuhar finished second in the 100 back and was followed by Chris Farrell, Sheldon Kohl, Nate Shappell and Jared Zawatski in third through sixth.

Jason Winters and Ben Sorrentino finished second and third in the 400 IM and Sorrentino added a second-place finish in the 200 fly.

Winters and Nate Kline finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 1650 free and Kline added a fifth-place finish in the 200 free.

Farrell was fifth in the 100 free and Shappell was fifth.

Kohl, Kuhar and Zawatski were fourth through sixth in the 200 back.

Jason Wallrabe was seventh in the 100 fly and Bailey Bevins was eighth.

Farrell, Gurski, Sorrentino and Winters wont he 800 free relay while Farrell, Kuhar, Gurski and Shappell finished second in the 400 free relay.

Kuhar, Gurski, Winters and Farrell finished second in the 200 medley relay.

The Cougars will host Marywood January 14.
