The Misericordia University men's volleyball team dropped a doubleheader at Arcadia, Saturday.
The Cougars dropped the first match, 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-17), and lost the second match, 3-0 (28-26, 25-16, 25-17).
Anthony DePalma led the Cougars with nine kills in the opener while
Billy Murphy added six kills.
Dylan Sellitti had 22 assists.
In the second match, DePalma had 10 kills and Murphy added seven.
Sellitti had 25 assists.
In the opening set, Arcadia grabbed a 9-5 lead, but the Cougars got within 10-9 on kills from matt Lavin and DePalma and a pair of Arcadia errors.
MU took advantage of three more Knights' errors as part of 6-2 spurt to take a 15-14 lead.
The teams went back-and-forth and
Connor Cusick's kill pulled MU even, 22-22, but Arcadia closed the set with three straight points.
The first set of the nightcap was tightly contested as well.
Two kills from Murphy put MU ahead 13-12, but Arcadia rallied for straight points to go up, 18-14.
The Cougars used a 6-1 run to take a 23-21 lead.
Arcadia scored three straight points to go back in front and eventually won 28-26.
