The Misericordia University men's volleyball team swept a doubleheader from Eastern, 3-1, 3-0, Saturday afternoon on Doc Mould Court.
Billy Murphy led the way in the opener with 13 kills while
Anthony DePalma added 10 kills and
Brian Ross had eight kills and 15 digs.
Dylan Sellitti had 39 assists and three aces and Conner Cusick had three blocks.Â
Matt Churchill and
Caleb Bauder both had two aces.
In the second match,
Matt Lavin had 10 kills and Cusick had nine kills and three blocks. DePalma had eight kills, 10 digs and two aces.
Sellitti had 30 assists and
Conner Westerfield had 12 digs.
The Cougars took the opening set, 25-17, but Eastern evened the match with a 25-21 win. MU took the third set, 25-15, and clinched the win with a 26-24 victory.
In the second match, MU broke a 21-21 tie with four straight points to win the opener, 25-21. The Cougars won 25-22 and 25-17 to clinch the sweep.
