Kate Bernauer had three top-three finishes to lead the Misericordia University women's swim team to a first place finish at the Duel in Pool virtual meet, Saturday.
Bernauer won the 200 free (2:06.85) and was second in the 500 free (5:39.59) and teamed with
Alaina Paul,
Hannah Strong and
Kaitlyn Stollenwerk to finish third in the 200 free relay (1:53.62).
Gabby Velazquez finished second in the 100 free (57.98) and added third-place finishes in the 200 free and 200 IM.
Cassidy Preste was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.59) and third in the 200 breaststroke (2:38.69) while Jess Ebner was sixth in the 100 and fifth in the 200 and
Madison Preste was eighth and seventh, respectively.
Jen Scott was third in the 100 fly (1:04.01), fourth in the 50 free (26.68) and 200 back (2:24.11) and teamed with Stollenwerk, C. Preste and Velazquez to finish third in the 200 medley relay (2:00.13).
Bernauer added a fourth in the 200 IM while Ebner was sixth.
Alaina Paul was fourth in the 200 free, sixth in the 500 free and seventh in the 100 free while Stollenwerk placed fifth in the 100 back.
Hannah Strong was seventh in the 200 free and eighth in the 100 free and
Mikayla Calitis finished eighth in the 100 free.
