The Misericordia University women's tennis team advanced to the MAC Freedom semifinals with a 6-3 win over Arcadia, Tuesday afternoon.

Brianna Pizzano and Emily Brecker were double winners for the Cougars.

Cassie Benderavich and May Lyn Ettinger added singles victories while Megan Rembish and Lauren Visalli won 8-1 at third doubles.

Pizzano won 6-3, 6-0 at first singles and Brecker won 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (8-6) at number two.  Pizzano and Brecker won 8-6 at first doubles.

Benderavich won 6-0, 6-3 at fifth singles and Ettinger won 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 at sixth singles in her first start of the season.

The Cougars will travel to Wilkes for the semifinals, Thursday.
