The Misericordia University field hockey team evened its record with a 1-0 overtime win at Susquehanna, Tuesday night.
Anna Effinger scored the only goal of the game on an assist from
Morgan Walsh just 2:32 in the extra session.
Both teams managed just one shot on goal while Misericordia held a 7-3 edge in corners.
The Cougars took advantage of their first corner in OT to tally the game-winner.
Misericordia allowed just one shot in each of the first three periods and the Cougars managed two shots in the third period.
Olivia Gretz made her only save early in the third period to earn the shutout as the Cougars improved to 4-4.
Misericordia will return to MAC Freedom action when they host Arcadia, Saturday at 1:00.
