The Misericordia University men's soccer team defeated Stockton, 2-1, Tuesday at Mangelsdorf Field to improve to 3-0.
 
Max Gariano and Francisco Echeverria scored for the Cougars while Jimmy Towers and Josh Spangenberg added assists.
 
MU's Andrew Daubenspeck made one save in goal and was seven seconds away from a shutout.
 
Gariano scored the first goal of the match on a centered pass from Jimmy Towers at 20:07.  Gariano played the pass off a defender which left him with only the goalie to beat. 
 
Echeverria struck just eight minutes later with his first career goal with an assist from Spangenberg.
 
The Cougars held a 16-8 advantage in shots, including nine in the second half.
 
MU will travel to Utica College on Sunday at 1:00.
