The Misericordia University men's volleyball team swept a pair of matches on the final day of the Cougar Kickoff Classic.

The Cougars swept Medaille, 25-23, 25-18, 25-15 in the opener thanks to 12 kills from
Anthony DePalma and swept Drew, 25-17, 25-17, 25-22 in the finale.

Billy Murphy added eight kills and two blocks and
Zane Martin had four blocks and
Dylan Sellitti had 28 assists in the opener.

Connor Cusick had back-to-back kills to fuel a 6-2 run to give the Cougars a 13-7 lead.

Medaille eventually pulled within a point, 23-22, but DePalma and Murphy had kills to secure the 25-23 win.

The Cougars used an 8-2 late in the second set to take control.

MU used a 5-0 run in the middle of the third set and closed it out with a 6-2 run.

Cusick had a team-high seven kills against Drew and 10 Cougars recorded at least one kill.

Sellitti had 18 assists and
Alex Furlong had five kills and three aces.

The Cougars scored seven straight points to break a 13-13 tie in the first set thanks to a kill and an ace by Cusick.

In the second set, the Cougars led 18-16 and closed the set on a 7-1 run, including a pair of aces from
Austin Cervasio.

Down 19-17 in the third set, the Cougars used a 7-0 to take control.

Cusick had a kill and
James Walsh had an ace in addition to four straight attack errors by Drew during the stretch.
DePalma and Cervasio were named to the all-tournament team.

The Cougars are 5-1 and will host Immaculata, Tuesday.
