Box Score The Misericordia University women's basketball team fell to #11 Amherst, 73-36, Sunday afternoon on Doc Mould Court.
 
Alyssa Bondi led the Cougars with 11 points.  Nora Tracey added eight points and five rebounds in just 13 minutes.
 
Bondi drained a three-pointer from the right wing to open the scoring and followed with a jumper inside the top of the arc for a 5-0 lead in the game's opening minute.
 
Bondi hit another three-pointer from the left corner for an 8-3 lead a minute later.
 
Melina Santacroce's putback put MU ahead, 10-4, and Gianna Delfino followed with a three-pointer from the right win with 6:10 to go in the first quarter.
 
Skylar Bianchi made a short jumper and Bondi drilled another three-pointer to give the Cougars an 18-10 lead with 2:27 left in the opening period.
 
Amherst closed the quarter on a 7-0 and outscored the Cougars 19-4 in the second period to move in front.
 
Misericordia will visit Wilkes, Wednesday.
