The Misericordia University women's basketball team improved to 7-0 with a 67-51 win over SUNY-Cobleskill, Wednesday night on Doc Mould Court.

Alyssa Bondi scored a game-high 16 points and
Gianna Delfino had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds while adding three assists, three blocks and three steals.

Melina Santacroce had a game-high 12 rebounds and
Elizabeth Fasti had nine points and six assists.

The Cougars led from the opening tip for the second straight game after jumping out to a quick 8-2 lead.

Misericordia converted 22 Cobleskill turnovers into 25 points, including 20 points off the fast break.

MU built a 27-point lead, 58-31, late in the third quarter and the Tigers never got closer than 14 points the rest of the way.

Morgan Haefele and Delfino hit back-to-back three-pointers and
Melina Santacroce made a driving layup to give MU a 10-3 lead with 6:43 to play in the first quarter.

The Tigers eventually got within 12-11, but the Cougars went on a 10-1 run over the final 2:28 of the first period.

Bondi hit a long jumper from the right corner and followed with a three-pointer from the top of the key.Â

Skyler Bianchi finished from the left block off a nice feed from Haefele and Fasti closed the quarter on a pull-up three from the left wing to give MU a 22-12 lead.

Up 28-21 midway through the second quarter, the Cougars used a 14-5 spurt over the final 5:28 to take a 42-26 lead into halftime.

Bianchi sank a jumper from the right baseline and Bondi drilled back-to-back three-pointers for a 36-21 lead.

Delfino went coast-to-coast off a steal and Bianchi made a jumper in the lane to make it 40-21 with 2:05 to go in the first half.

Misericordia put the game away with a 9-0 run late in the third quarter.

Delfino grabbed the rebound off a blocked shot and went the distance before finding
Jocelyn Grosch on the right block to ignite the run with 3:17 to play.

Dowling added a short jumper and Bianchi got a friendly roll to put MU up 58-31 with 1:12 remaining in the third quarter.

The Cougars will return to MAC Freedom action at Stevens, Saturday.
