The Misericordia University men's basketball team will visit Stevens for a MAC Freedom semifinal game, Friday at 8:00 p.m.
The sixth-seeded Cougars are coming off a 98-70 win at Arcadia while second-seeded Stevens advanced with a win over Wilkes. Top-seeded DeSales will host Lycoming in the other semifinal.
Misericordia shot 73.1% (19-26) from three-point range against Arcadia, including a school-record 10 three-pointers from
Elijah Rosenthal.
Misericordia leads the league in scoring with 76.1 points per game and features three double-digit scorers in Rosenthal (12.3 ppg), Kevin
Lazdowsky (12.2 ppg) and Nate
Kreitzer (11.2 ppg).
Nick
Hornung adds 9.5 ppg and leads the league in field goal percentage (59.3) while
Lazdowsky leads the league in three-point shooting (48.2%).
Kreitzer is second in the league in assists per game (4.2) and assist/turnover ratio (1.5).
Alec DiPietrantonio leads Stevens with 14.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
MU and Stevens split two regular season meetings with the Cougars winning at Stevens in January.
