The Misericordia University women's track & field team won the MAC Indoor Track & Field championship, Saturday at Alvernia.
The Cougars compiled 154 points to easily top the 14-team field. Widener finished second with 115.
Brenna Karnish was the Field Athlete of the Year and
Sarah Wagner was named Rookie of the Year.
Chris Wadas was named Coach of the Year and
Andrew Nelson was named Assistant Coach of the Year.
After winning the weight throw on Friday, Karnish finished second in the shotput (11.92m).
Averi Rine was second at 800m (2:21.82) and
Alexa Thompson finished second at 3000m (10:26.56) while
Natasha Mihalko was second in the triple jump (11.22m) while teammates
Jill Olewine and Wagner were third and fourth, respectively.
Wagner was third at 60m (8.01) while Mihalko was sixth and
Sonialys Badillo was eighth. Wagner added a fourth-place finish at 200m (26.76) while Badillo was eighth.
Amber Hackenberg was third at 400 (1:01.4) while
Casey Allen was fourth and Badillo was sixth.
Allen, Hackenberg, Badillo and Rine wont he 4x400 (4:09.39) and Bri Wagner,
Olivia Visaggio,
Kristin Gallagher and
Carlina Davis were fifth in the 4x800 (10:08.44).
Bri Wagner was eighth in the mile (5:21.04).
