Michelle Torzilli scored a career-high nine goals to lead the Misericordia women's lacrosse team to a 15-9 win over Marywood Tuesday.

Torzilli finished with the triple hat trick on 13 shots and added two groundballs and a caused turnover.
Justine Johnson scored two goals, made an assist, and had three ground balls.

Kylee Cush scored a goal each. Montanye caused three turnovers and had two assists.
Misericordia got things started in a hurry with a Johnson goal 50 seconds into the game. Torzilli scored her first goal of the afternoon shortly after to put MU up 2-0.

Four Cougars contributed to four consecutive goals as a dominant first period put MU ahead, 7-2.

The Cougars kept the momentum going into the second period with two goals from Johnson and Torzilli. Torzilli scored back-to-back goals near the end of the period and Shook added the final goal of the half to put the Cougars up, 13-4.

Torzilli found the back net on a free position shot midway through the third period. Â Â She scored the game's final goal on another free position shot with 3:00 remaining.

Misericordia will head to Elizabethtown, Saturday at 1:00.
