The Misericordia University baseball team ended the regular season home stand by setting a season-high for runs in 27-7 win over Delaware Valley, Friday afternoon at Tambur Field. The win locks the Cougars into the #2 seed for the MAC Freedom Championships.

Austin Miles finished 3-4 with three runs scored and four RBI.
Connor Maryniak went 3-4 with a double, four RBI, and a home run.

Santino Manganella scored twice and drove in three while
Derrick Vosburg and
Jack Regenye both scored three runs and added an RBI.
Owen VanNewkirk and
Brendan Gray both hit home runs.

Brady Madden went 3-5 with a double, two runs and two RBI and
Brock Bollinger collected three hits and an RBI.

The Cougars scored their first run of the day on a double steal in the bottom of the first with Madden taking second and McIlhenny taking home. Madden scored on a Vosburg single later in the inning. Manganella drove in two with a single and scored on a Miles infield hit. Miles came around to score on a Maryniak RBI to cap off a six-run first inning.

Joe Comins reached on an infield single to start the second inning and Madden delivered an RBI-double into the right center gap.

Miles and Gray reached base in the third inning to set up Maryniak's three-run shot over the right-field wall. The Cougars juiced the bases later in the inning for Bollinger to provide an RBI single down the left-field line. The Cougars ended the third with a 10-run lead.

In the fifth, Miles' triple to the right field corner scored Manganella and Vosburg. In the next at-bat,
Brendan Gray went yard with a two-run bomb to right.Â

MU plated three runs in the sixth inning behind a pair of RBI-singles from Manganella and Miles.

Colin Telford and Regenye reached base to start the seventh and VanNewkirk hit a pinch-hit three-run homer to deep left field.

The Cougars added five more runs in the eighth inning on four hits.
Tom Jacob provided an RBI-single to right-center in the first official at-bat of his career. Jacob later scored on a
Jason Sanfilippo RBI single.

Isaac Snyder picked up his fifth win of the season after five innings of work with three strikeouts.
Jared Kay pitched a scoreless eighth inning.

The 27 runs are the most MU has scored in a game since 2015.

Misericordia will play a doubleheader at Delaware Valley tomorrow at noon to end the regular-season.
