Box Score Brendan Gray scored three runs and delivered four RBI as the Misericordia University baseball team defeated FDU-Florham, 16-3, Friday afternoon at Tambur Field.
 
Derrick Vosburg went 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored and Joe Comins and Brady Madden each recorded two RBI. Connor Maryniak and Garrett McIlhenny scored two runs each.
 
Santino Manganella drove in a run, scored twice  and stole two bases.
 
Isaac Snyder picked up the win and allowed just three hits with six strikeouts over six innings.
 
MU struck first in the second inning with a Manganella RBI-single to left field to score Brock Bollinger.
 
The Cougars loaded the bases in the fifth inning and Comins provided an infield single to score Maryniak.  Madden followed with a single to right field to score two and Vosburg delivered a two-run double to deep right-center field to cap a five-run inning.
 
Heads up base-running allowed Gray to circle the bases after an outfield error in the sixth inning. McIlhenny scored on a Comins sacrifice later in the inning to make the score 9-1.
 
Misericordia juiced the bases again in the seventh inning. After a Manganella RBI-walk and a Maryniak RBI-HBP, Gray cleared the bases with a double to the warning track in right field. Randy Mateo singled through the right side to score Gray later in the inning.
 
Gray delivered again in the eighth with an RBI-single to left field to score Nick Helman.
 
The Cougars and Devils will wrap up the series with a doubleheader at FDU-Florham, tomorrow.
