The Misericordia University women's tennis team will compete at the MAC Individual Championships at Kirby Park and Wilkes University, Saturday and Sunday, September 17-18.

Doubles competition begins at 9:00 a.m. with two rounds followed by the first two rounds of singles action.

The Cougars claimed four MAC titles a year ago and earned five top seeds this year.

Misericordia's defending champions Brianna Pizzano and Emily Brecker are seeded first at number singles and received a first round bye.

MU's Lydia Barbour and Hailey Loughlin are seeded first at second doubles and received a first round by.

Cassie Benderavich and Erin Cridge are seeded fourth at third doubles and will face Drollas/Stettler of King's in the quarterfinals.

Lauren Visalli and Teresa Thomas will play Arias/Njemanze of Stevenson in the quarterfinals at fourth doubles.

Pizzano and Brecker and defending MAC champions at first and second singles, respectively.  They are both top seeded this year and received first round byes.

Barbour, the returning MAC champ at fourth singles, is seeded second at third singles and will play Alyssa Vandenberge of DeSales in the first round.

Loughlin is seeded first at fourth singles and earned a first round bye while Cridge is seeded fourth at fifth singles and received a first round bye.

Visalli is seeded second at sixth singles and will face Emma Kelchner of Lycoming in quarterfinals.

Benderavich will face Emma Rooney of King's in the quarters of seventh singles.
