The Misericordia University volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 win at Penn State Abington, Thursday.

After their first-set comeback fell just short in a 25-21 loss, the Cougars took the next three sets 25-13, 26-24, 25-18.

Fiona Pyfer had another big night with 20 kills and 13 digs and Meghan Peters and Sadie Stockslager added 11 and 10 kills, respectively.

Jenna Schuda had 40 assists and three aces and Jessica Cleveland had 13 digs and six aces.  Shelby Hastings added five blocks and Annika Massa had five aces.

The Cougars fell behind 17-6 in the opener, but used three kills by Stockslager to get within 19-14.  A 4-0 spurt cut the deficit to 23-21, but the Lions scored the next two meets to take the set.

Massa had three aces as the Cougars raced out to a 10-0 lead in the second set.

Cleveland added two late aces to put the set away.

Trailing 24-22 in the third set, Peters had two kills and two aces to give MU a 26-24 victory.

Stockslager and Peters had two kills each as part of a 5-0 run that gave MU a 21-15 lead in the finale.

The Cougars are 13-4.
