Drew Weaver's goal in the 83rd minute lifted the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a road win over Ramapo, 3-2, Saturday.
Eric Goldberg and
Justin Yarabinee both scored their first goals of the season. Â
Trent Wall added an assist and
Andrew Daubenspeck made six saves as the Cougars improved to 2-0 on the season.
MU had just two shots in the first half, one from
Alexei King in the fourth minute and one from
Justin Yarabinee in the 13th minute.
Goldberg ended the stalemate with an unassisted goal in the 66th minute to ignite a second-half shootout.
Yarabinee found the back net in the 72nd minute to put the Cougars up 2-0.
A pair of quick from the Roadrunners tied the match in the 80th minute. Weaver connected on the go-ahead goal off a pass from Wall.
Daubenspeck made two saves late to seal the match for the Cougars.
Misericordia will travel to Stockton University, Wednesday night.
